Bluey

Little Bluey was rescued by a Good Samaritan as he dodged in and out of traffic on a busy Orange County street. Terrified that she would see him hit and killed, the Good Samaritan scooped him up and took him home. Along with the help of her husband, they did everything they could to find his owner for over a month: hanging posters, posting on social media, and scanning for a microchip. No owner ever came forward.

The couple, having a brand new baby and other dogs, knew they couldn't keep sweet Bluey, so they reached out Southpaw Rescue for help. How could we not help this cutie pie?

Based on his teeth, we think Bluey is still pretty young; about 2yrs old. While he can be timid and skittish at first, Bluey warms up fairly quickly. Like any typical chihuahua, he tends to attach himself to one person.

He does great with other small dogs, but hasn't yet been tested with larger ones or cats. He is also great with the fosters one year old child.

Bluey would do well as an only dog if his adopter is home a lot. He would also do well in a home with multiple dogs.

One of the many things we love about Bluey is the color of his fur. How many Chihuahua's have you met who had the blue coloring best know in the Staffordshire breed? He's sweet, adorable and handsome. What more could you want from a little fur companion?
