                                                    Brooklyn

BECAUSE WE ARE A SMALL RESCUE THAT DOES HOME CHECKS, WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.

Brooklyn was found with her litter mates in an abandoned trailer in the desert four years ago. There was a bag of food dumped on the floor, but no water. A Good Samaritan had contacted rescued because they knew the owner had left with the mom dog, leaving behind 3 month old puppies.

Brooklyn quickly was adopted into a home with a single mother and small child. She does very well with Children. Unfortunately, Brooklyn's family lost their apartment and need to crash on someone's couch for the foreseeable future. She knew she could no longer provide the proper life for Brooklyn financially or emotionally, so after four years, she brought her back to Southpaw Rescue.

Brooklyn is adapting well in her foster home. She gets a long with all of the other dogs, both big and small. She loves her daily walks and is good on a leash. She is completely potty trained and will sit by the door if she needs to go out. Her previous home crated her during the day, so she is very comfortable going into her crate.

Brooklyn's temperament is more on the Corgi side. She is quick witted and companionable. She doesn't have the high energy of a cattle dog, but she does love a good walk more than an Corgi. She is the best of both!

Brooklyn came to us with an ear infection which has since cleared up. Her previous owner also mentioned she has some allergies and is therefore on a limited ingredients diet.

The adoption donation is $300.
