Sargent
Southpaw has never had a high kill shelter reach out to us about just one dog, begging us to save him so he wouldn't spend his last day on earth being killed on Veteran's Day. But that is what happened with Sargent, and we couldn't say no.
Meet Sargent, a gruff little 9-year-old terrier mix with a heart of gold. This sturdy little guy checks all the boxes: confident, smart, energetic and very affectionate. He would thrive in a quieter home as loud noises scare him. He would do well with an active person taking him on daily walks. He is good on a leash and doesn’t pull. He is incredibly good with people but would prefer not to live with smaller children.
Sargent is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Although 9 is considered “senior”, Sargent really is just entering middle age with his best years ahead of him.
